Hotels

We have secured a group of hotel rooms for Rocky Mountain Junior Scholar Participants at the SpringHill Suites in Provo at a rate of $134 a night. To get this rate, you must book by November 2 via this URL: https://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1694638027785&key=GRP. We have a limited number of rooms guaranteed at this rate. If we find that all the rooms get booked, we can attempt to secure an additional bloc at a different hotel. In other words, the sooner you book the hotel, the sooner we’ll know whether we need additional rooms. Because there is a football game taking place at the same time as our conference, rooms are in high demand on November 16 and 17.

About the Location

Utah is a fabulous place for hiking. The weather is dropping to around 40 to mid 50 degrees. The surrounding mountains are beautiful and worth taking the time to explore. Supportive hiking shoes and good socks with a warm jacket are all that you need to get a bit of adventure while visiting Provo, Utah.

BYU is affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and members of the Church do not smoke or drink alcohol, coffee, or (non-herbal) tea. As a result, smoking is not permitted on campus, the University does not reimburse alcohol expenses, and there is no place on campus to purchase coffee or tea. There is coffee at the Hyatt and Starbucks in the Provo Marriott and you are welcome to bring coffee or tea with you. We typically have caffeinated sodas on hand as well. If the absence of coffee or tea throughout the day will be a problem for you, please let me know so that we can make arrangements.
