Rocky Mountain Junior Scholars Forum

October 16-17, 2025

2025 Rocky Mountain Junior Scholars Forum

The Rocky Mountain Junior Scholars Forum is an annual conference designed to give junior faculty an opportunity to present and receive feedback on a draft paper; discuss teaching, scholarship, and service with other junior faculty and more seasoned faculty; and network with junior faculty from across the country. This is a low-pressure forum for practicing draft presentation skills and getting feedback on a working draft. We define the term “junior” loosely and welcome faculty without tenure status as well as those who have not yet held and academic position, including fellows, visiting assistant professors, and those in similar positions.

This year’s Forum will be held at BYU Law School in Provo, Utah. The conference will begin at 1:00 pm on October 16 and end the afternoon of October 17, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the weekend in Utah if you decide to extend your stay. The forum will host dinner and an activity near the law school on Thursday evening. The conference is free to attend, but participants must cover their own travel and lodging expenses. We have negotiated a discounted rate at a local hotel for the conference and will be in touch with those details upon registration.
